Last week has been bit hectic, because I’ve been transfering all my public albums from one system to another one (with different domain name), etc. Things are still bit hectic and we’ll see, what I will do with this domain after all things have been done, but more about that when I have better idea about what waits ahead of us.
However, this photograph about chain was taken in Porvoo. Individual links in chain nicely presents, how they all together create something bigger like my photograph in photo a week might be nice on their own, but they are even better, when they are put together.

When I started this blog, I imported whole history of my photo of a week project in here with original posting dates. This created me bunch of articles, but those articles didn’t have whole lot of content inside them, because they only had title, photograph and technical information about that photograph (camera, lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO value, …). Since then I added tags to them, but situation was still pretty lame (even though there are lot of nice photoblogs which don’t have anything else on them).
After I had introduce simpleviewer (flash based album that you’ve seen in bottom of various posts) into this blog, I felt that I had all the tools for importing photographs from photo-a-day project that I started in Nov 21, 2005 and finished on Nov 28, 2006. I didn’t want to repeat the earlier approach, where I had one photograph per post. Instead of that, I went through photo of a week articles and added all the photographs from that week into same article. Good thing in this approach is that now I have more content on those articles and you can get some idea about how I’ve made my choices about photo of a week.
Just as a disclaimer, photographs quality in photo-a-day kind of project varies from day to day and some of these photographs would have probably ended into trashcan, but if they happened to be only photographs from that day …
Sometimes I think that I should start another photo-a-day project, because you end up trying all kind of new stuff. Currently the biggest obstacle for starting new project is that once you start photo-a-day your queue on photographs for post-processing starts to get longer in rapid speed and I already have way too many photographs in that queue.
